The World Bank has just given a loan to the government of Papua New
Guinea to further expand oil palm. Already, oil palms are responsible
for large-scale deforestation, increased poverty and malnutrition and
violations of indigenous peoples' rights in the country. Please support
an appeal by local communities in Oro Province and sign a protest
letter against this loan.
