02 February 2010Iran and Brazil have agreed to jointly produce biofuel, said the head of Iranian Industries and Mines Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
Majid Hedayat in a meeting with Deputy Brazilian Science Minister Czar Gadla and Brazilian Ambassador in Tehran Antonio Luis Espinola Salgado said the two sides could work together to produce green fuel, Fars News Agency reported.
He added, "IMIDRO could help the two sides in carrying out studies and research on the proposed joint venture."
According to the official, other fields of cooperation could be nanotechnology, biotechnology, micro electronics, housing, energy and information technology.
Czar Gadla said his country is ready to share its experiences in the field of biofuel production technology with Iran.
