[biofuelwatch] Malaysia to spend 5,5 million € for anti-anti-palm oil campaign

The Malaysian government announced today to allocate 24 million Ringgit
(5.572.584,00 €) from the State budget to counter 'anti-palm oil
campaigns' - as they put it - in 2011/2012.
According to Datuk Hamzah Zainudin, Deputy Minister for Plantation,
Industry and Commodities, the government is doing everything possible
to promote the superiority of palm oil, especially market its vitamin A
Malaysia promises that the clearing (pembukaan) of forests for planting
palm oil would not hurt the environment, Mr Hamzah said.
