[biofuelwatch] Has corruption paid off in the Nguti sub-region for Herakles Farms in Cameroon?

Three different land sizes for the same concession. Has corruption paid off in the Nguti sub-region for Herakles Farms in Cameroon? From 73,000 ha to 20,000 ha to 12,000 hectares in the same concession.

We disturbed about all the latest rumours about Herakles Farms (SGSOC) latest deal in the Nguti sub-region of Cameroon. An agreement for reduced land (12 000 hectares) was signed on the 8 June 2013 in Nguti with the 8 villages' leaders  was without the adequate consultation or free prior and informed consent of residents, many of whom oppose the project and risk the loss of their customary land and livelihoods. The villager heads don't keep copies of that agreement or maps as normal.
All complaints and reports arising from this illegal project, including violations of forestry regulations, corruption and seizing of local cocoa farms have being ignored for the interest and benefits of the few individuals. Like others before in Cameroon incarceration will be their retirement home in the coming years not the villages/towns. Herakles Farms (SGSOC) grand experience in Cameroon is pushing that envelope, land grabbing, and double-dealing for profit!
The Herakles Farms project in the South West region has been beset with controversy since it was first announced in 2009. The plantation has been operating illegally and linked to corrupt practices and many Cameroonian and international groups are calling for the cancellation of the project.
Herakles farms believed that the local administration in Nguti sub-region of Cameroon has given all land rights and authority to them denying us the Indigenous people our farming rights, the right to free movement on ancestral lands as guaranteed to us in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the African Charter of Human and Peoples Rights, and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, to which Cameroon is a signatory.
As said by few Land grabbers "You can acquire any soul in that region for a beer"
