[biofuelwatch] US airlines drive to increase aviation biofuel production + use





Drive for scaling up production and use of aviation biofuel in US. United Airlines to start using 'sustianable' biofuel on flights out of Los Angeles by end of the year. The airline is committed to buying 15 million gallons of  aviation biofuels over the next three years, supplied by AltAir fuels which has retrofitted a refinery. Alaska Airlines has singed an agreement with Hawaii Bioenergy to produce aviation biofuel from 2018.
