[biofuelwatch] Fwd: New petition against GE Trees in Brazil

From: Campaign to STOP GE Trees

I'm writing you with exciting updates on the fight to keep GE trees out of Brazil (and everywhere else), and a request for you to help us keep up the momentum!

First, in early March, despite the extremely short notice, over 1000 people took part in the online protest demanding that the Brazilian Biosafety Commission (CTNBio) reject FutureGene's corporate request to begin large-scale planting of genetically engineered eucalyptus trees.

Thanks to all who took part in any way they could!

Following all these actions, the 5 March CTNBio meeting was cancelled when it was disrupted by activists, and after FuturaGene's operations were taken over by 1,000 women earlier that same dayFind out more about these amazing action in Brazil here!

Now we need your help again to keep up the pressure! The CTNBio meeting has been rescheduled for the 9th of April.
Please sign our NEW petition to show your continued solidarity with those still fighting GE trees in Brazil, and to keep the pressure on CTNBio to REJECT GE Trees.
The Campaign to STOP GE Trees is an international alliance of organizations mobilized to protect forests and biodiversity and to support communities threatened by the dangerous release of genetically engineered trees into the environment. GJEP coordinates the Campaign.
